“The chocolate has an incredible chocolate taste with little if any vitaminy or chemical taste. Much better than other protein shakes I have tried. My 10 year old even likes it better than Ovaltine in chocolate milk! I will be getting the vanilla next! ”

“I like GNC now that I know can return anything awful with my receipt. I'm taking advantage of the fact to try their protein supplements. ON Vanilla Ice Cream flavor tastes like a root beer float and isn't thick or grainy like some other protein products. Drink it VERY cold and it's pretty good...better yet, blend it with ice cubes for a frosty texture and it's actually quite yummy. The fact that the protein comes from whey and that they add lactase means it's a good source of post-op digestible protein.”

“I found a 5 pound canister for only $24.95 at Save on Supplements! My nutritionist introduced me to it after trying several others that I just couldn't tolerate. This one is similar to a Yoohoo taste when mixed with skim milk. A 4 ounce serving gives me 25 grams of protein. I have one shake first thing in the morning and one before I go to bed. I have not had any problems getting my protein in!”

“After trying many proteins at 2 weeks post-op the chocolate 100% whey was the only one I could even get down. Now, at almost 2 months, I can actually say it goes down fairly easily. And at around 35 cents a serving I just can't beat it! ”

“Have just started using this in the last week, one scoop in a cup of milk twice a day for a total of 62 gm of protein (including the milk). The taste is nice and chocolately, smooth, not too sweet, mixes very well. Great value due to large 10-pound bag. Great product.”

“the optimum 100% whey protein shake mix is excellent in taste. well, the strawberry is. i havent tried the others yet. it mixes easily with a spoon, unlike the designer whey. two extremely good points. i'll probably keep using this and say adios to the designer brand. ”

“I use the double chocolate or Vanilla Ice Cream flavored shake mixed with lactose-free or skim milk. Both are very rich, with no protein taste or smell or any other "off" tastes (i.e., no undertones or aftertastes). I highly recommend this! So does my 7 year old daughter, who drinks the chocolate in skim milk, because she likes the taste!”

“This taste really good. There's 22 g protein per scoop. I mix with 8oz of 1 % milk, 2 sccops of protein(vanilla flavor), some ice cubes and maybe some strawberries every now and then. It keeps me full and that one shake has over 50 grams of protein in it including the milk. This is an excellent product.”

“I tried strawberry and this is one of the worst mixes I have tasted. Too much flavor and sweetness, and too much of a chemical taste. Makes a really thin shake with water. I have to mix it with a better tasting protein powder, half of this and half of that to get it down. Chocolate is good, but I had to wait until I was two months post-op before I couldn't taste the chemical, strong whey flavor and keep it down. Now it is the only brand I use, mix it with water and one scoop and I do this twice a day. ”

“I got the protein powder in the Double Chocolate flavor but it has too much of a "whey-ie" aftertaste that I'm not too crazy about. It's a little more tolerable after you add a banana...”

“Where I buy my optimum whey, they have a group you can pay $15 a year and save 20% on each purchase between 1 and 7 days of the month. I can save $5 each month on my optimum whey. It's well worth it. The taste of optimum whey is very good. I have tried several other's and they range from bad to worse. They are either very 'mediciny' or they just plain taste terrible. Some of them that taste good, don't have much nutritional value. Optimum Whey meets all my requirements. ”

“mixed with water was good. Mixed with skim milk or soymilk excellent. You feel full and it lasts. I like to use 5-6 ice cubes too. This makes the "shake" thicker. I've used all three flavors. I mix in a little bit of frozen fruit instead of ice cubes too. You are limited only by your imagination.”

“I find that even after 3 years post-op, I still am not a breakfast person. This drink made as a shake with lots of ice cubes and skim milk gives me the morning boost I need to start my day and infuses me with the necessary protien to help keep my health in check ! It tastes great and is easy to order. Easy to mix in any blender. It is smooth and not grainy. It does not clump ! My fav is Chocolate of course !”

“I use both the Chocolate and the vanilla. Blends easily in water or milk - no aftertaste at all. My favorites: 4 oz lactaid fat free milk, 1/4 frozen banana, 2 frozen strawberries and 1/2 C crushed ice w/1 scoop Optiumum Nutrition Dutch Chocolate. My second favorite: 4 oz Lactaid fat free milk, 1/2 teaspoon instant decaf coffee, 1/2 cup crushed ice, 1 scoop Optimum Vanilla, and a little cinnamin. Tastes just like a frappaccino! YUM!”

“I buy the vanilla flavor and either add fresh fruit or a small amount of strawberry quick. Since surgery, chocolate and sweets don't taste good to me so I really like this. Also sweetened with stevia, a natural product, and I do not like things with Aspartame.”

“i have tried it all and it all made me sick . til i tried optimum whey. i love it. it has 22 grams of protien per serving. i add a little powdered milk to add more protien so i get about 30 grams per serving. i drink 3 of these a day. i usually put it in the blender with frozen fruit and water or orAGE JUICE. I USED TO JUST ADD IT TO WATER IN A GLASS AND DRINK. BUT THIS IS WONDERFUL. IT ALSO HAS CALCIUM AND POTASSIUM TOO. ONLY ONE GRAM OF SUGAR AND 2 CARBS. IF YOU LIKE IT YOU CAN GET A g n c GOLD CARD TO GET 10 % OFF YOUR PURCHASES. IT HELPS BECAUSE I USE SO MUCH OF IT AN DI ALSO PURCHASE THIER WOMENS MEGA VIATAMINS. THEY ARE WONDERFUL TOO.”
