Aingeal's Lifestyle Journey
a new me, one pound at a time

12 Week Weigh in
on May 2, 2008 8:37 am
Where did the last three months go? These are the most productive months in my life journey and looking back now can see so much and it seems so long ago but it was only three months! In the past three months I have met some wonderful people, learned some fascinating things about myself, and started a whole new life. I guess you want to know my weigh in now? Are you sure? OMG .... I weigh 405 pounds today! Yes, OMG yes! I have lost 48 pounds in 12 weeks ... I feel wonderful! Today is here and I am living it!  I have a checkup with my doctor today and I will be struttin' into that office proudly. I can't wait to see his reaction. I am seeing this docter over two years and everything attempted in that time failed until now. I am so proud of myself. It is happy dance time and I have alot to be happy about!

Big hugs!
Blessed be and keep losing!

Week 11
on April 25, 2008 6:18 pm
Hello lovely peoples! I am blogging from my mother's house today. It is great to be out. I brought a pant and top I bought around my start time with me and showed my family. They were shocked and I was just smiling so wide and proud. I will take my latest photo tonight and it will be me standing not sitting this time. My sister helped me take my measurements and OMG! My thighs win the prize... 55.5 inches to 36.25 inches! We measured it twice to be sure and wow! Week 11 weighin is 44 pounds loss and at 409 pounds. I can taste my 50 pound goal... yes it is right around the corner... I better not blink or might miss it. LOL I am so very happy, happy happy! Did I tell you that I am happy ?!?!? I will post photos and the results of my measurements soon... I just had to share my good news... I lost 44 pounds in 11 weeks! Yay me!

Okay, I am home and here is the details for today: 11 weeks, 22 inches, 44 pounds. Medifast ROCKS and so do my my medifast friends!

Celebrating 40 Pounds
on April 18, 2008 12:00 am
Wow, 40 pounds and I feel great. I am so happy with my progress and indeed proud. Celebrate with me and take a moment this weekend and pamper yourself to remind you that you are worth it! My next step in my journey is joining a local exercise club and find a personal trainer. I look back and only few months ago I could not walk without a cane and so much pain. I look forward to no longer taking pain management medications just to be able to move normally. I love medifast and it really has taken my journey to a all new level. I think everyone on this journey is inspiring but when I am told that I am inspiring, it touches my heart. If I inspire someone to lose weight and improve their health, I could not be happier! Goddess bless thy journey.

Update on My Journey
on April 18, 2008 12:00 am
I am doing great and feel great. I am now 38 pounds down with 240 to ultimate goal, 12 pounds to next mini goal and I just love to watch the pounds drop. I am still leaning behavior modification and proud of my progress. Medifast is a good part of my life now. The first week was so hard but after that, much easier.

buh-bye plateau
on April 14, 2008 12:00 am
I am feeling like myself again and had a big smile when I weighed this morning and said buh-bye to my latest plateau. Down 2 pounds since recovering a recent virus and that is a total of 33 pounds down. Yay me. When I stopped off the scale I thought of all my friends here at my medifast and could not wait to post the news on my blog.

On the Upswing ...
on April 12, 2008 12:00 am
First, I must give my warmest thanks to my friends here and everyone who sent such encouraging well wishes. I think I am in the upswing again. My energy is improving slowly and I am feeling less ill each day. I am eager to lose more weight but am patient to follow my doctor's recommendations. The water retention is going down I think. I stepped on scale and I am back to my plateau weight. Water retention is hard to battle in legs that don't work too well but I see it gets a little easier each time. I am not taking lasix and refuse to. I am doing this on my own with nutrition, medifast and lots of water. My poor legs got alot to carry... but the more I lose the easier it gets and I am again lightly active. I so did not like being stuck in my chaise these past few days. I wanted to get up and do housework or play with my puppy and things I am able to do since losing the first 30 pounds. It is wonderful! I could not do it without the support here and my medifast friends. When it seems hard to drink so much water and I read all the great messages and comments and blogs, it does make it easier. I am a propel drinker. I love it but decided one of my steps is to drink more water. So the last shopping trip I asked my loving husband to get me water bottles and some propel mix singles instead of propel and water. Less for him to carry too. So now I drink my 4 bottles that makes 8 glasses and then I have a bottle with propel mixed in if I crave it and now its like special treat instead of something I must have and some days I don't even miss it. I feel proud of that. I will blog more as I feel better. I am smiling today and happy and trying to keep my head up. I wish you all a great weekend and keep up all the hard work... when you think it is so hard and feel like giving in... turn here to your friends not to food... we can do it! - - - This is to a new me, one pound at a time. Love you all!

plateau
on April 9, 2008 12:00 am
I have reached a plateau and have been a wee bit under the weather as well. It is harder to stay on plan when ill and fighting fluid retention in my legs. I remain diligent with my medications and water drinking. I have added benefiber for regularity and a multivitamin, one a day women's weight smart advanced with EGCG. I am resting well but miss the little activity I had achieved. Yesterday marked two months since the start of my journey and marked week one on medifast. My weight is 422 still and I am definitely proud of my progress to have a steady loss of 30 pounds total. I will be online as rest permits. Best wishes for continued success to all my medifast friends.

day 3 and 4
on April 4, 2008 12:00 am
Hello lovely peoples. I wrote day 3 last night but think the blog ate it. Day 3 and 4 are good. I did all my medifast meals and lean and greens plus waters. I had a couple pickle spears for a snack today and enjoyed it! My energy has been up and down and my regularity has changed this week. I added benefiber to my routine per suggestions by the dieticians here at medifast and it helped. I believe my body is adapting to the changes and am not alarmed by this. I was dieting before medifast so I understand these changes. Overall I feel better this week and look forward to more energy. I wish everyone a great weekend and best wishes to our progress. I love my medifast friends, and welcome invites.

day 2
on April 2, 2008 12:00 am
Today is day 2 on Medifast! Yay me! I woke this morning with more energy and had my medifast meals on time with plenty of water. I had to improvise a little with my lean and green for dinner but its a learning experience. Overall I felt very good today and motivated to have more good days.

day 1
on April 1, 2008 12:00 am
Hello. My name is aingeal, celtic for angel, and today is my first day on medifast. I have met some great people already and you may have met me in the chat room. I love to chat. I could not wait for my meals to arrive. I am totally on plan today. I have received so much support already and wonderful tips. I just love the mymedifast community. Today has been good so far. I had a delicious salad with turkey for my lean and green and all 5 medifast meals plus my omega 3 and water. I logged it all and weighed in and my husband helped me with the measurements. So today starts the new path on my journey and plan to actively participate in the blogs and discussion groups. I am grateful for the awesome friends I have already met here and welcome new friends. Today's weigh in is 422. I have alot to lose but know I will ... a new me, one pound at a time.
