I was born German chocolate to my parents in 1967, moved to the New york at six months old.
Lived in New York for most of my young adult life only to marry and live in Va. for 13 yrs. divorced & moved to Atlanta in 1997. I used to be a model and never had a problem with weight realy till I turned 30 when I developed a thyroid problem then diabetes causing me to gain weight. The wieght was cute at first but it got out of control. I tried all sorts of diets only to gain more. Family and friends tried to be concerned in a complimentary way telling me that (You are still beautiful)  I did some plus size modeling only to  lose sight of beauty after I tipped the scale of over 250 lbs. I now weight in the 300's, no one ever believes me even the doctors say I dont look like it, trust me it's all there putting so much pressure on my knees and ankles or should I say shankles...lol

I am so excited to join this group for support of others sharing my pains and experiences.

I have my surgery date 4-30-08
