One week and 2 days since surgery
Well I'm in my second week post surgery. I'm still very sore, but it's getting better daily. The doctor took out some of my staples yesterday, which made me more sore and raw feeling, but it's better again today. (I did NOT enjoy that... I'll tell you right now) Including the pre-op weight, I've lost a total of about 34 lbs I think. Since surgery it's about 9 or 10 lbs already. I'm still wearing my 'circus' pants since my belly is still sore when the elastic hits it. They are hilarious though. They were already huge before any weight loss at all. So if you see me going down the street, and my pants fall off--- please let me know. They are so loose I may not feel them fall! (And that would be terrifying to the children). Thanks for all of your prayers. It's good to be able to sit at the computer a little again.

Recuperating

I'm back. recuperating. The surgery went well. Now I'm dealing with the pain. I'm hoping and praying that a lot of this is gas pains. I'm having a hard time tonight with a HUGE pain hanging around my chest...not constant but comes and goes (Right now I wish it would GO!) Please keep me in your prayers for a release of this pain, and a speedy recovery. I love you all. I'll get on longer later ..and tackle the messaging and commenting. It hurts too much right now.

My surgery is this coming Monday (29th of December) at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas at 7;15 am. It'm excited, and VERY READY! I'm going today to get my magic bullet, and I have to get my vitamins and clear liquids stuff this weekend too. I have to go for lab work Friday (day after Christmas). Ya' know... I don't think I'll have a problem keeping my New Years Resolution this year! (lol)  Keep me in your prayers. Here we go!!!!!!

Good grief. After all I've gone through to get to this point this year.... now my boss (because of hecticness and other stuff at work) asked me to reschedule my surgery. So now it's not Oct 21 anymore. I'ts Dec. 29th. Uggghhhhh But hey... I guess I can look at it this way...at leat I'll get to eat my final meal on Christmas this year huh? It's just frustrating since I've been on the protien liquid diet for 3 weeks now.

My Story

When I got married 23 yrs. ago I weighed 125, and I always thought I was fat then. WHAT AN IDIOT! Now I know what fat is. Boy do I. I'm tired of looking in the mirror and feeling disgust with the person who's looking back at me. I'm ready for change! I'm here to meet and make new friends, and get support with my decision. I am pursuing the Vertical Sleeve. I'm praying really hard about this! My goal is to get down to my wedding day weight minus 5 lbs. Then I can truly say 'I've never looked better!
