Surgeon Testimonial

Michael Green, Jr. M.D.
Dr. Green seems like a good surgeon, and everyone seems to have nothing but positive things to say about him. He has answered all of my questions regarding the surgeon and seems very competent.

I do, however, think he has some staff and scheduling issues that need to be handled. Appointments book sometimes over 6 months in advance for routine consultations (read: if you're a new patient, you may have to wait a really, really long time to start the surgery process). Once you do start the process, communication with his staff seems somewhat difficult at times -- it's almost as his staff is stretched too thin to handle the number of patients.

Anyway, staff issues aside, he does have an aftercare program setup and he does emphasize it. He addresses the risks of surgery numerous times. I haven't had the surgery yet, so I don't have many comments on his bedside manner. I'll update after I have the surgery.

Grrr

I finished my last nutrition appointment today! Now I start the relentless bugging of Dr. Green and his staff to get a surgery date. I really, really hope I can get a date before mid-August. And he (the doctor) did promise me his staff would. Not sure though if the scheduling robots (for lack of a better word) will allow this to happen.

I've still got to lose some weight. I was actually up just a little at my nutrition appointment (although the nutritionist said it was very likely "water weight"). I'm gonna keep at it though. I'm fairly sure it's possible.

Yeah so there.
