Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

My Story

I am 58 years old, soon to be 59.  I have a surgery date of the 27th of August.  I am currently on my liquid diet.  I have lost 8 pounds in 6 days.  I am diabetic and have arthirtis.  I have had my left knee replaced, which still gives me great pain.  I had hip replacement in Dec. 05.  I got an infection after surgery.  It is called MRSA and can be fatal.  We battled it for 6 months and had to have it replaced again due to infection.  That hip dislocated due to surgeon's awful work.  I had that hip replaced in November of 06.  This was a new surgeon.  He had to make a new socket, put a liner in the socket and has every bolted to my pelvic.  As a result, I am very restricted in my movements.  Cannot pick up anything on the floor. Cannot tie my shoes.  Cannot load or unload the bottom of dishwasher, etc.  Thank God I have a wonderful husband.

I still have tremendous joint pain and I just know that loosing weight will help.  Plus, I want to be here on this earth for a long time.  Being over weight will shorten your time with your loved ones; or make you disabled and in a nursing home or depending on their care.  Do not want any of this.
