    Friday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

OCTOBERS EXERCISE CHALLENGE
on October 2, 2008 4:32 pm
 October first---  30 minutes walking outside
 October second--- 15 minutes walked  at work..
                              7 minutes on my gazelle at home
                              4 minutes on my exercise ball
                             15 sit ups on my ball
 October 3rd- walked 15 minutes
                      walked 8 minutes
  October 4- wedding no exercise:-(
 october 5th- walked at pumpkin patch, grocery shopping, thats it
 October 6th- walked at work 17 inutes
 october 7th-
 october 8th-
 october 9th- none bought truck drove 4 hours!!
 october 10th- walked 15 minutes at walk and then shop for awhile
 October 11 th- none, house  cleaning and grocery shopping
 october 12th-  truck cleaning.. lazy
october 13th - walked 20 minutes at work
october 14th- played with kids at the park..
october 15th- cleaned house
october 16th- no walking rained... did walk the mall
october 17th- walked 20 minutes
october 18th-

one year anniversary post

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!

   One year ago today I had the best surgery ever!!!!
 I went in scared to death but so excited I was going to beat this nasty disease
        OBESITY!!!!
 In this past year the following things have changed....
 1) I went from 270 to 188 on my home scales( dr appt is tuesday)
 2) I went from a size 24 to a size 16 in MISSES NOT WOMENS!!!
 3) I went from a size 3XL to a XL AND Large in misses not womens
 4) I have rode a ride at the fair for the first time in 12 years
 5) I have drove go- karts with my 4 year old!!
 6) I have camped and hiked for the first time since high school
 7) I exercise. im not in love with it but I feel better afterward!!
 8) I have met and made great supportive friends that I wouldn't have met otherwise!!
 9) I have FINGER NAILS!!! I have never had them before and im 35. lol
10) I can run and play soccer with my daughter now.
11) I Have lost 76 percent of my excess weight!!
12) Im 29 pounds from being A NORMAL WEIGHT!! I haven't been a normal weight since middle school
   
   Life is Good!! and I owe it all to my band and Dr.Shina and my obesity help friends!!
  I wouldn't be as far along as I am without your support!!!

lap band stats... updated to date

Ok, I have been  adding a lot of people so I decided I would log all my stats for the band.

 Sept 14 placed band, im assuming empty
 oct 31  3.0 cc placed in a 14cc band
march 4 saw dr.shina no adjustment 
6 months out and only one adjustment.. 
 on march 4th I weighed 205
 on april  8th I  weighed  198.
on june 16th i had a half cc adjustment
which is 3.5 cc in my band
on july 22 i weighed in on home scales at 190
 I do have some restriction, as far as volume of foods it does control. Hunger is every four hours or longer if  I eat solid proteins. If I dont eat protein then hunger is every two hours, Protein is the key for me even peanuts will hold me nicely atleast 3 hours,
 Exercising has also been a key factor, I have slacked off some since I hit onederland and I can tell a difference in how I feel and my loss.. So I am seeing it is a key factor in my loss also!!
  Scheduled for a slight tweak this week but I think I may put it off. Not sure though.. PCP and dietician says Im not eating enough, that I need to eat every four hours and that will help my loss also.. So may give that  a try first... Havent had a chance to talk to Holly about it yet.. If I dont get adjustment I will need to schedule to see Dr. Shina  for his two month follow up. I see him about every 6 weeks or so..

My Story

   I  have always been the BIG GIRL. It did not matter what I did, the weigt wouldn't come off.  Weight watchers taught me so many things but I still couldn't loose  the weight. At 34 years old, I weigh 270 and that is low compared to before I got pregnant. I do not any co-morbities. I am hypothyroid. That's it. I cant wait to start this new way of life!! It is gonna be the best trip of my life!!!
