Surgeon Testimonial

Christopher Evanson, M.D.
My first impression of Dr. Evanson was WOW! He is a cutie. I still feel that way too. He is awesome. He is a very hyper person. He is available 24/7 to help with any issues that may arrise. He is so comfortable with what he does that it is second nature to him. It is not a big deal to him. He saves lives. I would rate him 100% caring, cute, kind, and understanding.

Where does it all go? Do I care? It's GONE!!!!!!
on March 2, 2008 11:31 am
I have been working out at the YMCA for a week now. I have lost two pounds. The most I have seen the scale move at one time in a while. I have a trainer who helps me and set me up on a weight and tone routine. This will last for 12 weeks and then it will change. I do this three times a week and then the rest of the week I do cardio and/or some fitness classes. I try to swim once or more times a week. Two pounds gone-. I am so HAPPY> My goal is to be under 200 pounds by July. I have 21 pounds to go. I want to go out and buy a swimsuit so bad, but I have to wait. Doesnt mean I can't keep trying them on and looking for the right one. One that will enhance my cleavage would be nice, since those have decided to go bye, bye and head south. The biggest problem I have, but the least inexpensive to fix :)

It has been a while
on September 1, 2007 9:02 pm
It has been a while since I have posted. I am now 6 weeks out and feeling great. I am down 40 pounds and it has made a world of difference on the way I feel. I can't imagine what it will be like to be down 150 pounds. I can't wait. WHat a great feeling. I have been so busy latley. I have just been promoted and between work and family life it is hard to keep up on everything. Will post soon and add some new pics.

I am 2 weeks and 3 days out
on July 30, 2007 3:56 pm
I am doing well. I lost 17 pounds the first week and a half. I then had to be admitted to the hospital last Tuesday. I ended up having a scope on Thursday and found out that I have an ulcer. The ulcer is so inflammed that it made my port go from 14mm to 8mm. Needlesss to say it was very painful and scary. I live 3 hours from the hospital and I was freaking out. So I was released on Friday. I need to make sure that I take my carafate 4 times a day and that I take my prevacid everyday. When I was in the hospital the second time I gained a few punds from being on the IV for dehydration. When I weighed myself I lost all of what I gained plus two pounds. I started at 313 and I am currently 293. I am under 300 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

post-op
on July 15, 2007 7:02 pm
well, i am 2 days post op and still having some pain. the night after surgery was the worst. i did not expect to have as much pain as i did. the gas pain is awful. im starting to feel pretty good and was released from the hospital this afternnon. i cant wait to start seeing the results. at this point it is hard for me to get all my fluids in and to eat 2oz at a meal. I am always tired, but am sure to take my walks. I pray that this whole thing is well worth it.

Tomorrow is the day!!!
on July 12, 2007 5:05 am
Tommorrow is the big day. My new birthday. I have a bridge that I am trying to pass over though. I received a call yesterday from the hospital and they asked if I had followed through with the recommendations provided by the therapist that I saw for my psych evaluation. At this point I have not because I assumed it was a suggestion and that it was up to me. They also asked if I had attended any pre-op support groups. I have not done that either. Another thing that was recommended. We get so busy with our lives and tied up in getting this surgery done that things slip through the cracks. So anyways, I am patiently waiting this morning to hear from ny surgeon. He may decide to reschedule my surgery due to these issues. I look at it like this, I have OH has my support group and I was recommended to see a psychologist not required. Why would that hospital wait two days before my surgery to call and ask me these questions? It just stops the ball rolling they do that. Why not do this a month in advance so that if there are things that need to be done, there will be time to get them done.
