Surgeon Testimonial

David Von Rueden, M.D.
First impression was very good. My
mother went to the information seminar with
me and we were both impressed. He seems a bit quiet at first.

The office staff is fantastic. They are
very pleasant and helpful.

Surgury pros and cons were covered at
the information seminar. They truly pull
no punches.

6 Days Postop
on July 11, 2007 3:31 am
Well:  I am feeling better everyday and getting antsy;  not used to not working I guess.  So today I will start doing a few things I have needed to do
at the house but never got around too.  I have 2.5 closets of clothes
to get sorted.  I know I have everything from 2-5x  ( 22-32) .  My plan is to sort them so as I go down each size I can just head to the goodwill; donate what I have and check out the selection of clothes in the smaller sizes; plus I will have some kind of idea of what I have and what I will need to buy.

I also have a double dresser to sort the clothes as well.
I also have a ton of papers to sort: paystubs, bank statements,
credit card statements etc.  Geez I getting tired just thinking about it.

Another project for the day is getting an eye exam:  somehow in all
the excitment this weekend my glasses broke; Mom tried to get them fixed but the frames are three years old and discontinued .  So I have
spent the last 4 days wearing sunglasses LOL

Have not lost any weight per say yet but it will be a bit
difficult to tell LOL  They did not weight me in the hospital surgury day.
So we will have to go with the preop appt weight of 349.5 Lbs.  Yesterday
I was 351 but the Dr. says thats normal to gain weight :  the fluids the hospital buts in you.  I will make a seperate post for the actual surgury
info,  I have posted some pictures I allowed Mom to take the morning of the surgury.

My Story

I HAVE A DATE!!!
Yes finally:  after 6 months, endless test, oxygen
therapy and pulminary therapy.  There  is light
at the end of the tunnel.  My date is July 5, 2007.[/url]

I called to tell Mom and I told her its my INDEPENDENCE
DAY.
It took me six years to make the decision to have the surgury
(noone can ever say I rushed into it).
My Dr. is David von Rueden and I cannot tell you
how helpful he and his staff have been.
I have a huge support system - my parents and
brothers, sister and their families all behind me 100%,
as well as friends, coworkers and members of my church.
Ok lets see this is seven weeks and counting:  can not come soon enough. Will post more later.
