Congrats on your
WLS! It will be a
life changing
experience you will
not believe. You
will be amazed at
the outcome and the
things in life that
you were not able to
do but will be able
to do with ease.
This WLS has been a
blessing for me and
I pray it is the
same for you. Candy

New update at 8 months post-op posted on 10/4/08 10:09 pm
Hello,
I weigh 181 right now and I am exactly 8 months post op today! I wear a size 12 and even a 10 sometimes. I workout everyday or almost everyday. I feel like if I don't, then I haven't accomplished anything for the day. I'm jogging 4 miles a day and also lifting some light weights to tone up a bit. I really want to be in the "normal range" for my height and weight according to the BMI chart. I've never ever weighed less then 190 pounds so all of this is new for me. It's almost unbelievable really.
I still struggle with food choices and I think I have to accept that I will for the rest of my life. I do good most of the time but do slip a bit here and there. I find that going to the gym helps my eating habits because it gets me out of the house and I have less time to think about food and graze. Also, if I workout in the morning then it keeps me motivated to eat good throughout the rest of the day otherwise I'll feel like I threw away a good workout with bad food choices.
That's about it for now! I need to lose 8 more pounds by Nov. 16th to make my goal of losing 30 pounds by my birthday! WOO HOO!
