I had Lapband surgery 5 months ago on May 12,2008 my weight at that time was 310lbs. BCBS insurance paid for my surgery at Huntsville Hospital. Dr. Mailapur was my surgeon, he wanted me to have the Gastric Bypass because he felt that I would not be able loose the needed weight with the Lapband. Today is Oct.29,2008 my weight five months later is 240lbs, with my new best friend Dr.Mailupar I belive that the remaining weight  will be no problem! (70lbs in 5 months not bad)!
