Well i finally got letter from my PCP to turn in to Emory.  I have my psychological eval on 9-15, then my nutritional group meeting after that they will submit all my information to my insurance company.  Yes all my fingers and toes are crossed.  I've spoken to my insurance company and the way they talk I meet all criteria and will be approved.  So I'm another step closer to the new healthier me.......   I still have a lot of questions still go from excited to scared.  Please anyone who has had RNY before please share your story with me..........thanks

well this is new for me, not much of a computer person.  I'm currently in Stage 2 of the process.  My surgeon is Edward Lin, and my surgery will be through Emory Bariatric Center.  Had a very hard time getting my PCP to write my medical necessary letter, all kinds of reasons--my DM, wanted me to try loosing on my own--ha ha-- like I have not tried my whole life.  I'm a RN and one of the other docs in the group is now helping me!  A big answer to prayer!!!  So everyone I have all kinds of questions, am excited and scared to death all in the same instance.  I call Dr. Lin's group tuesday 9-2-08 and hopefully will have more news.
My family's support is wonderful.  My husband of 29 years is great, he is as excited as I am.  I have three wonderful children, 3 out of this world fantastic grandkids, and the best son-in-law anyone could ask for--yes I'm blessed.  Thanks to everyone who has gone before me, for answering my questions, letting me know I'm not alone.
