    Kelly, I just read your posts about your staple line disruption. I sure hope everything works out for you. I don't know why it is, but it just seem like some people have to go the harder route. Sounds like you have a real good attitude and good support. Let us know how you are doing. Laura

My Story

My journey is just beginning with WLS.  I am a wife, and mother of 2 beautiful girls (10 and 2).  I have struggled with weight all of my life, but I am now embarking on this new journey to help me lead a healthy and active life.  I can't wait!!!

So far, I have met with my surgeon, he is ready to proceed, I am just getting some paperwork ready for him, including my doctor's diet notes (if she will provide them, since I didn't do a dr. supervised diet yet -- just tried every other diet in the world), and my mental health eval.  My appt with my PCP and my psych. is on Tuesday 2/20, so hopefully I will know more then!  I just really don't want to wait the 6 months.. but I guess if I have to.. there's nothing I can do about it.

I will add to my story as my journey continues...  :)

Well last week my doctor's office called me with a surgery date.  They don't have the approval yet, but from the way it sounds, they are pretty positive they will get it, based on my high BMI.  The date will be 4/18!!!  Very soon!  Hopefully all will work out, and I will get approved with no more hitches!
