My story is like so many others here. Been on way to many "diets" to count on two hands. Lost 100's of pounds.....and gained much more. I have a wonderful husband who has been patient with me and supported me no matter what. He is in the military, they are required to be physically fit, no exceptions!!
I want to get back in shape and feel good in my body.
So here I go.....one step at a time!

My first post since my DS
on November 24, 2008 10:09 am

I am about 2 1/2 months post op now. I have lost right around 52 pounds !!! I have to say this has been an easy recovery. I want to thank all of my OH friends here and let the pre-ops know that if you need any advice don't be afraid to ask, ask, ask. There are so many genuinely nice, caring and informed people on here. They will answer the same questions over and over and never get frustrated. If you have the opportunity to attend any get togethers with any of them GO. Its the best support you will get. And along the way you will make some pretty awesome friends.
I can eat pretty much anything I want. The only thing that seems to bother me is milk. Just plain milk. I am ok with cheeses and other products with dairy in it. I can easily eat my Carb Smart almond toffee ice cream bar every day (thanks Gina) lol.
I really don't watch my carbs to much. I do glance at the counts in foods but I an not too strict.  I guess if my weight loss slows I will try to watch closely.
Its a great feeling to eat all day long then get on the scale at the end of the week and have lost weight. This is right up my alley.
