    Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. Hi everyone!  I'm a Cali-girl, (or should I say "lady"), born and raised, (talk about pressure to look good and experiencing the "fat" prejudice!!)  I've been fighting "the battle" since I was 10, and cannot wait until I get my VSG!  Wife of 8 yrs to DH and Mommy of DD, Kacie Maylen, for 3.5 yrs and, as she is my ultimate inspiration, I look forward to many more years with them, with a new and improved me!

HOT DAMN!!! I MADE IT TO THE 160's!!!!

I am stunned and very happy:-)  I achieved my 1st "soft goal" of my wedding weight!!!  I have not seen the 160#'s in YEARS!!! I was married in June 2000 and the morning after our wedding, my DH & I weighed the exact....and I mean exact....same weight!!  This was quite amazing for me as I had always been heavier than my "mate" and to weigh the exact same the morning after our "joining for life" was pretty darn cool.  He's stuck with me ever since....(hhhmmm....gotta think to why....)

So WOO-HOO!!  Anyone who reads this and for me when I re-read it in the future.....STAY STRONG....DON'T GIVE UP!!!  IT WORKS IF YOU WORK IT!!!!

HAVE A GREAT SEPTEMBER 2008!!!!  Mine's started off pretty hot:-))

6 MO OUT - DOWN 69 LBS. (& 6 PANT SIZES!!!)

Okay...SO...although I've been stuck in the 171-174 lb. range for clsoe to 2 months....my body is still changing!!  I am officially out of the "Women's" department!!  I've gone from a size 20 pant to a 14!  In tops I was a 22-24 and now in 14-16 or just plain XL....no more X's for me:-)  I feel amazing!
Some might say I'm stalled, some migtht think the loss is over.  But honestly, I've never lost this much weight EVER in my life.  I am happy, I feel good and am not going to worry or think this journey has ended!
Now, I have had some troubles and have been fighting the mental game.  But I keep my protein up and my fluids up.  I still need work on the carbs and occasional "treat". But I know that I will never gain weight like I did in the past!
If I do "stray" from the VSG "menu", I don't persecute myself like I used to.  I know I am not a failure, and since I can't blame my body any longer, I feel more in control than ever!  I've also noticed that my body fat % has gone down, so I know there's transfer from fat weight to muscle weight.
Anyway I look at it, I have worked hard, am still working hard and my efforts are paying off.  I am a new and improved me and I am so happy for my VSG!!!
Love to all who have supported me along the way!  OH VSGer's ROCK!!!!

ANOTHER STALL?!? NOPE..BODY...

Well I've been stuck between 174 and 175 for close to 4 weeks now.  Not to say it's my sleeve.....I know what I have been doing and not doing.  I've been testing my menu!! Trying this and that.  Had my first glass of wine in oh....YEARS!!!  

I have been drinking plenty of liquids, eating and drinking lots of protein, but have been eating more carbs and sugar than before:-((  And I have not been logging my daily intake.

I can honestly say that in addition to dropping a large amount of weight in #'s alone, in just about 5 months time, my body has changed it's shape, even when the # doesn't move on the scale.  My body is still changing.  My MIL keeps saying that everytime she sees me, I look smaller and smaller.  It feels so good when you hear it from others how you look so different!!

I've lost 4 total pant sizes, from a 20 to a 16.  My shirts are XL instead of 1X or 2 X.   I'm shopping in my closet and wearing clothes I havent' worn in 4-5 years.  And I never imagined I'd be saying I can't wear most of my clothes anymore because they're TOO BIG!!!  Ha ha ha ha ha!!!  As Irene Cara once sang...

Made it to the 170's!!!!

This entire journey is, without a doubt, AMAZING!!  After a week of mood swings and PMS, I weighed in yesterday morning at 179!!!  Oh what a feeling!!!

My frist "soft" goal is only 9 lbs. away now!!  Both my DH & I weighed exactly the same the morning after our wedding!! I wasn't heavier than him and that was AWESOME!!!

To know now that I could get back into my wedding dress in a matter of weeks is very inspiring!!  That and all the sexy stuff I got at my showers!!! I haven't FELT sexy in years!!!

Eating is going just fine.  I eat every 3 hrs and drink in between.  I try a little of everything, no deprivation necessary.  I treat myself minimally if the moment presents itself and don't hang myself if I fall off the menu plan for a day.  This is the most balanced I have ever felt and am so glad I had this surgery!!!

I've been wearing so many clothes that I couldn't fit into for years, and did recently did buy a new pair of jeans.....SIZE 16!!!!  I feel healthier and lighter and with the help of my doctor and support community, like here at OH and at JMWLC, I know and feel I will succeed and win this battle forever!!!

3 MONTHS OUT - DOWN 55 lbs!!!!

Just that.....down 55 lbs.

Will restart my Curves workouts this week (post GB surgery) and will continue my journey:-)
