Surgeon Testimonial

J. Chris Eagon
Dr. Eagon rocks! He is one of the most caring people there is. I had surgery 4 months ago and I am down 70 lbs and only 50 to go. He really is a great doctor, great manner and his nurse Donna rocks too! Now I agree they do suck at returning calls but they are a really busy office. I would highly recommend him.

It's almost 2009.
on December 27, 2008 2:43 pm
I look back over the last year and wow has things changed. I am now divorced and 102 lbs lighter. Yeah I know weird combination. I hope 2009 is going to be a good year. I have 16lbs to go and then I am at my goal of 119. I still workout like crazy although the month of December I have really slacked and only lost 10 lbs. I don't have a lot of excess skin. I hope everything stays that way. I am not sure if I will have enough money for plastic surgery or if I will really need any. I think I am doing ok though.

It's about that time....

Well first off I wanted to tell everyone Happy Turkey Day! I have a lot to be thankful for. My husband and my divorce was just finalized. I love the guy but I just don't know about him now days. I am now 145. WOW! That is all I can say. I never thought I would get down to this. I am still working out 5-6 days a week. I am trying to make sure and not have lose skin. I do think I need a breast aug though. I am getting misperportioned. I am really happy. I do find though when I go out now and people hit on me, I kind of get offended. I mean when I was 238 would they of hit on me? Anyways thats my story

Starting a new life.
on September 16, 2008 6:29 pm
Well today I decided to blog. I have started my weight loss and I am down 75 lbs in 4 1/2 months. I have continued to do my exercise and I love it. I love the way I feel, the way I look. I have found all of those parts that I hadn't seen in a while. Hipbone, Collar bone, Pelvic bone, Wrist bones are all appearing before my eyes. It is really nice. I recieved my divorce papers this last week so I will be changing that part of my life too. His loss. Now more than anything one of my new personal goals is to lose weight and lose weight just to piss him off. LOL I can't wait to get on the scale in a few months and the scale read 120! That is my final goal. I know what I will look like in my mind and all. Now if I can just get the professional part of my life figured out I just have to go from there. But who knows living day by day sometimes good things happen and it keeps things real. You never know who you will meet or where you will go.

My Story

Well I started off as a small person throughout highschool and up until I had my daughter. After she died I gained tons of weight and developed a thyroid problem along with Sleep Apnea. On April 21st, 2008. I had surgery at 238 lbs.

Ok, first. I had gastric and this is the reason why. With lapband you only lose 40% of your weight which would of made me get to about 160 as my goal weight. Gastric you lose 70% which puts me at abour 125. YAY! Sorry I had to put that in there. Tricare Prime which my soon to be ex-husband is Active Duty Army they covered both. Do you go to Ft. Wood for your doctors? If so go with the Red Clinic and get an appt with Dr. Nguyen. She will give you the referral. Then after that is approved you call Tricare West 888-874-9378 and tell them that you want to have Dr. Christopher Eagan as your surgeon though Washington University Barnes Jewish in St. Louis. Dr. Eagan's office will call then and have you set up lab work, psychiatric appointment, physical therapist appointment, and a nutritionist appointment. You also must attend a weightloss support group session through Dr. Eagon. You have to go to all of these. Then You make an appointment with Dr. Eagon. He assess you. Then puts you in for surgury under Tricare billing. Eagons office will call you with a date and this whole process if you stay on top of them about it all its a 4 month process.
