Have A Date For WLS

Hello my OH family I have a date for my surgery. It's on Oct. 07 2008. Right now I am one of the most happiest women in this world. I am experencing so much anxiety at this time. But at the same time I cannot wait to start feeling better this weight has been an hinderence to so many goals of mine slowed me down time after time but I somehow  find myself continuing to keep moving forward. I am not a squatter. I am a mover and shaker this is one of the qualities that my husband loves about me, after all I keep this man with a bank account and his credit rating is A-1.I no longer have to say hoping to have surgery, I am gonna have surgery. Alright my OH Family I will update again real soon and hoping to add some full body pics in my photo album. So I want everbody to observe this new transformation that God is going to work on me.

Hi Oh Family
My name is Loretta and I am 40 with three children and a husband I reside in Georgia. My story is similiar to most other stories. I have been battling with being over weight about a decade now mainly due to bad breaks in life. 
    In "2003" I had a back surgery (backfusion) where my bones were fused together causing my spine to become immobile from the T-4 ------ S-1. Also: 
after being on the drug predisone for awhile it made matters worsen yes that is when the weight start creeping on like a theft in the middle of the night. After researching wls for sometime  I decided that I was going to take charge of my life and take back what satan has robbed me of. It's time for me to start enjoying the finer things that life has to offer and my friends that is having good health and being able feel good about myself once again.

My Story

I started researching wls about a year ago and I decided on having the Roux-in-y Gastricbypass. I have made all my visit with the different types of doctors. This was putting mileage on my wheels driving back and forth to Decatur, Ga. Everyone of my appointments was on a different date so I really had to pay out money for those high gas prices averaging 300 miles round trip. But that's ok because good ole TRi-Care reimburse you every cent. There was a process that I had to go through no cutting corners.
 1st step attened a seminar with the weight loss surgeon, 2nd visit with the psychotherapist, 3rd pulmonary doctor 4th nutritionist,
  5th letter of clearence from my pcp. Although; the only piece of info: that I need is a clearence letter from the pulmonary (lung specialist). I was diagnose with sleep apnea and I have to wear the cpap device about four weeks before I even see the pulmonologist for my follow up. That appointment is not until August 13th 2008 maybe then she will fax my surgeon a clearence letter so that I can start my pre-op steps and be given a date for surgery. I can't wait to be on the other side (slim) this weight is a pain in the butt . Health problems that I am facing is hypertension, sleep apnea, lower back pain, knee,foot pain etc..... I thank God that I did not develope a chronic illness such as; heart disease, diabetes, cancer. I just want what God gave me in the beginning which is good health and joy.
