Jogging
on September 15, 2008 6:30 pm
Two months out and today I started Jogging again. I haven't done that in 10 years, and it will still take a little time. I have been walking alot (2-3 miles), so today I tried Jogging it. I went the same distace but Jogged for a while and then walked for a little more. It felt strange to get my big body Jogging agin but I will keep it up untill I can run marathons again. Weight today 234 lbs.

My Story

I have been fighting the weight almost all my life but it didn't get real bad untill about 10 years ago. Both my wife and me have been ignoring the weight for many years but it has cought up with us. We both have Diabetes, High BP and High Colesterol. My diabetes was getting out of control and I could not stay away from the bad foods so we decided to check into Lap Banding with Dr, Jawad. Due to our Diabetes and BP that was not the option for us so surgery here we go.I can not relate to some of the hoops you go through to get approved by your insurance companies.  It was not hard to convince our insurance and was actually hareder to convince our Primarty Care Provider, who doesn't like the permenent of surgery. We waited untill it fit our schedule and I had my surgery 7/14/08 and my wife is scheduled for 8/25/08.
