Surgeon Testimonial

Brent Steward, M.D.
I first seen Dr. Steward at a seminar that he requires all of his patients/potential patients to attend. I was impressed with his honesty and willingness to answer all questions. When I met with him at his office personally for the first time, I was equally impressed. He has a very friendly staff, and he came in sat down and we just talked. He has a wonderful bedside manner. I am excited he will be my surgeon. I have read and heard lots of wonderful things about Dr. Steward and it helps me be at even more peace about my decision to have this life changing surgery.

First time ever sledding !
on January 21, 2007 3:55 pm

Well today hubby, the kids and I had alot of fun in the snow. First the work of shoveling the driveway and sidewalk had to be done. Then we tracked across the backyard and up the biggest hill behind where we live on post. I am 33 years old and today is the first time I have ever been sledding. I grew up in Georgia, there was never enough snow for sledding there. Last year at this time I was 356 pds and could not physically go sledding. It took all I could do to walk across the backyard to just take a few pics of the kids and hubby last year. It was sooooo freeing flying down the hill on the sled today. A feeling I will never forget and one that I cant wait to feel again !!!! I can still hear the kids and hubby, and me laughing today having so much fun together !

Thanksgiving
on December 1, 2006 5:49 pm
Well Thanksgiving is over, now Christmas in knocking on our door. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was awesome !! My dad , whom at one time I hadnt seen for about 15 years flew to Kansas from Georgia to spend the holiday. This is actually his third Thanksgiving in a row, we have kinda made ourselves a new tradition. We are military, so he just flies wherever we happen to be, lol. This year he brought my half-brother too. My children love him, he is 23 and tends to play and entertain the kids very well. We all spent lots of time with each other and had a great time. I really need to buckle down with eating and excercise. The holidays have always made me , well not be on track we will say. I am doing like I have read so many times before.....take one day at the time, one minute at the time, one second at the time. If I can just get through Christmas, and get a little warmer weather around here, lol. Best of wishes to all you guys too !!!

Wonderful WOW moment
on October 31, 2006 11:17 am
A friend of mine from work (Jennifer), her daughter (Aubrey), Hannah (daughter's friend), myself and my daughter (Claudia) went to World's of Fun in Kansas City, Mo this past Saturday. OMG ! How much fun did I have. I cant tell you or even remember the last time I have been on a roller coaster. The sheer thrill and excitement I felt. It was just like being a kid again. My daughter and I had soooo much fun and laughed so much. I love being throwed around and upside down. I cant wait to go back again and enjoy another day like that with my children again. So many years I have not been able to share moments like that with them, I mean I was there, but not really. You guys know what I mean. I am glad I didnt have to stand on the sidelines this day. YEAH ME !!!! I thanked God several times on Saturday as I do every day for me having had the chance to have this surgery and be getting back in the game.

06-24-06 Howdy all ! Hope everyone is doing great on their weight loss and surgery. I am about 3 1/2 months out now. I am down 69 pounds and weighing 287. OMG , I made it to the 200's. I do worry about this still working for me when I see someone who had their sugery around the same time as I and they have lost more weight. I stop and remember all the times I have read that we all lose at different rates, but it will still come off. So I just keep chugging along. Until next time, OUT ! :)
