Well
Sharon...tomorrow is
your big day! Just
wanted to wish you
luck and hope that
you have a speedy
recovery! Remember
the first couple
weeks may seem
rough...but
eventually that path
will smooth out and
you will be dropping
that weight like
crazy! Best wishes!

I am a Christian woman who has so much faith in God. I know that God is going to see me through this surgery and see me through this. I have enjoyed finding this wonderful web site and met some great people.
Here is to a new life!!!! God bless you all!
The surgery is over. I have lost 30 pounds so far. I haven't been sick or in pain so I am kinda shocked. I was pre-pared for much worse. I am very blessed, for having such a great support staff and wonderful Church Family.Well enough for now.
Here it is Sunday night and I am worn out. I really enjoyed Church today. Everyone was so wonderful and loving. I am packed and looking forward to the end of the week, so that I can get on with it.There is "4" more days left.,,,My life will finally be what it is suppose to be. I want to get better at blogging so that I can try to help someone else.Well better go for now.

I got to go to my first support group meeting.I absolutely loved it! I felt like I had known these ladies for a very long time. I hope to get to know them all so much better. I am so close to my surgery and I am soooo excited.
16 more days.
My story begins years ago 40 or so. You see I spent most of my life overweight. My parents always worked so my little sister and I mostly had to fend for ourselves. We learned early on to eat what ever we could whenever we could.
I spent alot of time going through school as the fat kid that know one wanted to have on their team, or as their friend. I became very shy and withdrawn.
The years passed and I married a boy that I went to school with. (funny thing is he used to make fun of me ha ha) We had a daughter and three sons together and spent several years in the US Navy. After coming home for good we grew apart and divorced about 7 yrs ago. I have always believed my weight to be a big part of the problem but oh well. This is the body that God gave me so I have to use it.
I finally realized about 3 yrs ago that my health was suffering because of the weight. I had already had back surgery(disc removal)Degenerating Disc Desease,APNEA(which was the worst)arthritis, diabetis etc,,,,.
I began the long journey of getting WLS approved. I was already on disability so the insuran ce was tricky. After the year of paperwork, tests and several attempts of contacting the doctors office we finally have the approval.
I had to keep after the Dr's office and finally get the date October 31st.
Trick or Treat smell my feet Dr Allen's gonna fix it so I can't ever eat! Ha Ha
I am going to document my whole process because I hope to help someone else out there. I know it is going to be worth it.
Dear God Watch over my family and friends and help the surgeon and staff.Amen
