How do I get something 'un-stuck' ??
I felt full and stopped eating but I noticed a while later that the 'full' feeling wasn't going away. It has been 5 hours and I thought I finally felt like my stomach was emptying ..... so I took a big gulp of water. Ouch! The water would not go down and just sat there .... my pouch felt over-full and I almost immediatly puked he water back up.
I think the tuna is still stuck somehow ?!?! How do I get it 'UN-stuck' ??? I haven't eaten or drank anything since about 11:30am (30 minutes before I ate the tuna) ... I am so thirsty!
Thanks,
Sarah

Chewable Papaya enzyme will usually do the trick but it is not to be used early out of surgery until everything is healed up. This is one of the ingredients in meat tenderizer. Try to sip a tiny bit of warm water or tea. If this doesn't resolve soon call your centre for advise.

Oh I am sorry you are having this problem. The papaya enzyme works well apparently but isn't for this soon post surgery. I was told no sooner than three months, and only as a last resort. Whatever that means, if its stuck you want it gone, now!
I hope this passes soon
As other have mentioned, papaya enzymes work well for me - particularly when I eat protein and feel that way. I usual chew two and feel better within 10 minutes. Sometimes walking or lying down for a bit if I'm at home helps. I generally only feel that stuck feeling when I haven't measured my food. I'm almost 11 months post-op and have trouble with portions. If I eat out I generally under eat to avoid that horrible feeling.

When I have filled my pouch laying down helps to get things moving through. I have been fortunate I have never thrown up from over-fullness, just from the stomach flu!
