Rhonda went into surgery at noon on Tuesday, May 7th and I(Tracy) got to be with her. She's my bestest friend. What a trooper. She had the nurses giggling with her quick wit. Surgery went well. It took about 3 1/2 hours. The doc said everything went good. She went to ICU for a day and a half. She was in pain, but the morphine helped. She pretty much slept on and off for 2 days. Then she went to her own room. She is getting better everyday. She has to get up and walk several times a day. Everyday is less painful. The Dr. calls her sleeping beaty. She should get to go home on Tuesday. Since she lives alone she will have a nurse coming in to help her. She got water for the first time this am (Sat. 5/11). She gets less than an ounce per hour. You cant have water until you pass gas, so yesterday was an exciting day.LOL
