Hey guys, My surgery was scheduled on Jan 14th But Atnea decided two days before my surgery that they wanted failed weight loss documents from all my doctors and I didnt have it so I didnt get to have my surgery. Cried so much. it was to painful to come back on line and talk to anyone. I cried and cired and grieved. Now I am mad and ready to fight. I am going to appeal this not on failed weight loss but abilty to keep the weight off when I lose it and also I have serious medical problems such as sleep apnea and a heart murmur and high blood pressure and serious gastric refluxes. My gasternologist wrote the appeal board a letter and so did my pulmonary specialist and I am going to write one too. Do you guys have any ideas? I need help. Thanks Melissa

Hey Guys, As I told you all before we changed insurance companies on Dec 19th. As of Thurdsay my surgery was still not approved.Aetna came back and said they wanted documentation of every doctor who has treated me for weight losss for 3 consecutive months. I have moved all over Texas and Oklahoma after a messey divorce and I had a son who was ADD with behavorial and emotional problems. He was my focus for the last 10 years in and out of facilities and homes and placements and involved with Juvelille and and all that until he turned 18 a few months ago. I didn't have a paer trail of doctors. Human Rwsources where I worked and Dr Gorospes Nurse Denise worked so hard to get this approved for me. However no go!. I will not be having surgery on Monday Jan 14th thanks to Aetna and their heartlessness willing to approve me. Some of their reps did have a big heart and tried so much to help me. It wouldn't fly. What I did was hand write them a letter and tell them why I didn't have the proof they wanted and I sent then 3 pages of the names and phone numbers and addresses of the Doctors and places that had treated me. Two business days before my surgery doesnt give me time to produce these documents. I got on the phone with the Aetna's rep and I cried so much. I begged and pleaded and they wouldn't do it. I was so stressed and so wore out. I called Dr Gorospes office and we tried. Denise was so stressed and had tried so hard. So was Wanda From Human Resources because I had 35 pages of My medical records from my doctor stating that I had sleep apnea, a heart murmur, gastirc refluxes. I had a letter from the previous insurance company showing they approved it. Still no go. They want documentation of who treated me. Well I didnt always have money to go back and have my diet pills refilled. I had to go when I could. So I am going to contact the doctors and get the records that I can. It's all I can do. So now I get to jump back in the ring and start all over again. I am so wore out from this unfair ridiculous battle. Two days before my surgery and it is canceled. Whoa! low blow !but, I AM TOUGH,Dr Gorospe's office promised to reshedule me as soon as I am approved and not make me wait months down the road. They are laying off where I am working and firing people left and right in order to avoid severence pay.IT'S A TOUGH BATTLE BUT I WILL BE OK ONCE I CRY IT ALL OUT. LORD HAVE MERCY. Thanks for all your kind words and emails. keep them coming I could use support right now. Love to all Melissa Arredondo
